10/17/2017 0 Comments HeartHello,
My heart goes out to all those affected by the Northern California Fires. So many people have had everything wiped out from under them, with only ashes of their favorite things left. While "things" are not truly the important things in life, its still a very big trauma to loose everything you had in one fell swoop. And almost everyone in the bay area has been affected to some degree, with knowing a friend or loved one directly affected, and even just the health issues caused by the air quality. I have noticed a few things because of this tragedy. One, how uncomfortable the people closest to me feel to even be in a position to possibly need help. And two, how beautiful society is, so many people extending their homes out, donating, truly doing what they can to help, its wonderful to see this. I am so grateful that all those I know are safe. I am very grateful to see a little bit of blue sky. And I'm extremely grateful that I live in a society that has the infrastructure to provide support and relief during this time of devastation, and the technology to connect us. This is a stressful time for all of us, I'd like to thank all that are doing what they can to help, weather its giving food to someone you walk past, extending your home, donating money, or just simply giving a smile. Sending love to all, Jessica
